Tickets and passes
The Brampton Major
Excelsiors are pleased to announce that season tickets
for the 2009 season are now for sale. After ending
2008 with a sweep of the New Westminster Salmonbellies
to lay claim to the Mann Cup the team celebrated,
but wasted little time in letting it be known that
one championship was not going to be enough for
this team. Almost unanimously players expressed
their wish to come back and vie for the trip out
West to defend their championship.
The 2009 season
will be played under the same format that MSL fans
have grown accustomed to, with 18 regular season
games (9 home, 9 away) and 3 rounds of playoffs.
The regular season will kick off shortly after the
Victoria Day weekend and it is our hope that the
full schedule will be finalized and released before
the end of February.
This season Brampton
will host Peterborough, Brooklin and Barrie twice
with St. Regis, Six Nations and Kitchener visiting
only once. A majority of the home games will be
played on Thursday night with the odd weekend game
thrown in to complete the schedule.
With the 2009 Minto
Cup being hosted in Brampton, the Junior A team
will officially move into the Powerade Centre this
season. They will continue to play predominantly
on Friday nights but will also have to fit in other
games dependant on their 22 game regular season
schedule (11 home, 11 away).
The Brampton Excelsiors
are adding a new deal based on this move. For $90
you can purchase an "Excelsior Powerade Pass"
that gets you access to all 20 games played in Brampton
during the regular season (under $5 per game). These
passes will be available before Christmas and can
be ordered by phone or e-mail.
The Brampton Major
Excelsior Season tickets will once again cost $100
per pair and although tickets will not be printed
until the schedule is finalized you can order them
now and receive a certificate redeemable once they
are made.
