Strengthening
the ‘O’ with a familiar face
The Brampton Excelsiors will be
adding another offensive weapon as Colin Doyle makes
his return to the MSL in a Brampton jersey. Having
already signed Dan Dawson for the season the offensive
arsenal will be strengthened even more as Colin
rejoins the team this summer.
Last years squad had the most stringent
and aggressive defense in the league with the Mattamy
Homes sponsored tandem of Miller and Cosmo winning
the leagues goaltending award. With the added offensive
punch this Brampton team believes it has what it
takes to bring the Mann back to Brampton.
With Brampton celebrating its 125
year anniversary this year, there are many events
planned within the course of the year. One of the
key highlights will certainly be the game against
Peterborough on Saturday June 7th. This game coincides
with Brampton’s annual McCauley tournament which
is one of the biggest minor lacrosse gatherings
of the season. It is also the only time that Brampton
plays Peterborough at home in this years regular
season.
The schedule has finally been released,
so mark your calendars and get ready for another
exciting season of Excelsior lacrosse.
Once again, season tickets will
be offered at $100 per pair. That gets you 2 tickets
to all 9 home games, a $162 value. Tickets are for
sale through many different levels of the Excelsior
organization or arrangements can be made through
e-mail at be-lax@hotmail.com. Season tickets will
also be sold prior to and during the home opener.
The home opener is set for Thursday
May 29th at 8:00 versus the Six Nations Chiefs.
We are planning on starting off with a pre-game
kickoff party in the parking lot prior to the game.
