Thanks to all!

We want to send out “a very loud thank-you” for all of your assistance with the many facets of the Minto Series...

There were many successes!

• outstanding and exciting teams from across Canada (in particular our own Jr. Excels), thank you to players, coaches, and management for their attention to lacrosse excellence

• over 60 volunteers who worked day-in and day-out to ensure a successful Minto, hats off!

• exceptional attention to photography of the event and to communications on the Excelsior website, Facebook, and media in general

• local corporate and program sponsorships exceeded targets

• framed prints (participation gifts) were outstanding, appreciated by all of the players and nicely reflected the local/Canadian dimension of the Series

• excellent media coverage across Canada, news went out to over 75 media sources after every game and a very efficiently-run press box for the media and minor officials

• highly successful 50/50 and program sales, final 50/50 around $2200...yikes

• tailgate run by the Jr. A parents was outstanding and very welcoming for our visitors

• three wave (Press Release 1, PR 2, PR Series) marketing ensured communications out to a range of media and fan base

• smooth running of special events and ceremonies (media luncheon, distinguished guests and ceremonies)

• facilities at the Powerade have been outstanding along with the support - who knew that Jr. A lacrosse would fill the room...

• excellent attention to the financial management of the tournament, clear and detailed books and banking

• exceptional support from the City of Brampton and in particular Mayor Fennell and Regional Councillor Sanderson

• minor officials’ attention to detail with timekeeping, announcing, pointstreak, 30 second clock, etc.

• special thanks to all of the creative work with the logo/crest and three posters

• great support form the visiting associations (BCLA, ALA, OLA , and CLA)

• the willingness of lacrosse greats from the '57, '58, and '59 teams and Canadian Hall of Famers for throwing their support behind the 2009 Excelsior Jr. A team and the 2009 Minto Series

• excellent anthem singing from our four Mayfield SS Regional Arts students,and Dan Clancy from Lighthouse
